Watercolor
Most of my work in watercolor explores the austerity of life, its' struggles of survival and suffering.
Without it, beauty is not.
Michael studied painting privately under the mentorship of Utah artists Kathy Sutherland and Bill Laursen. In 2005, Michael was awarded regional Sterling Scholar in visual arts, has been a member of the Utah Watercolor Society, and has displayed work at the Springville Art Museum, the University of Utah, Poor Yorick Studios, Patrick Moore Gallery, the Sandy Arts Guild, the historic Lamb's Grill, Atelier AFA, Alpine Art and Frame, Draw Inc. Gallery, and the multiple times at the Urban Arts Gallery.
